Light Leaks magazine started from the coolest kidz on the web @ toycamera.com. We wanted to put together a magazine about toy cameras. We started out using print on demand services. The magazine readership grew, and we wanted to have more control over the printing - so we took away the middly guy and started printing and shipping the magazine ourselves.

Light Leaks magazine is printed using high quality sheet-fed printing, on nice thick paper, and perfect bound. It is a smaller than normal magazine at 8x9" and 56 pages. But from that we pack in more content then your average 100 page magazine, with very little advertising.

The cover price is a bit higher as well, which reflects our independent nature, as well as small printing numbers. We have to charge that price to pay the printer.

LLHQ (Light Leaks Headquarters) is located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and is run in true Mom and Pop shop fashion by Michael Barnes and Rachel Morris. It is truly an independent, small operation. But what you get from that is personal service, from real people running a business that they absolutely love and work very hard at.

For "The Shop" we will try to look for toy can low-fi products that you may find an interest in owning. We'll work with importers, duty fees, and taxes - and offer you the ability to make a simple and easy purchase from a trusted vendor. We will also try to carry a wide array of items, more than just cameras, to make The Shop your one stop location to pick up all your toy and low-fi photography needs.
